I have been drawing and painting as long as I can remember. I am a Southern California native, and I have spent most of my life as a landscape painter, dealing with the unique quality of light here in the Southland, and the contrast between organic forms and man-made structures. I have also painted a series of window images, inspired by restoring an older home, exploring different qualities of light.
I attended the Art department of California State University, Long Beach, where I earned a degree in Drawing and Painting in 1980, and also did extensive studies in printmaking. I began a career as a painter and lithographer in the 1980's, and my work is in private and public collections throughout the country.
